We are a creative RIBA Chartered Architecture and Design practice, established in London in 2014. Our portfolio ranges from commercial and residential projects to bespoke installations and product design pieces. Our designs are bold, innovative and playful - we love experimenting and designing through making using emerging materials, patterns, colours and advanced fabrication techniques. We are experienced in delivering high quality projects - our design services span across architecture, interiors, graphic design and branding. Our recent projects include a restaurant refurbishment at Grade I Listed Natural History Museum, community skate-parks in Liverpool and Sao Paulo, temporary window display for make-up brand Kiko Milano, several bespoke residential projects, furniture design collection and a 3D printed table. Our work has been exhibited at the Royal Academy of Art Summer Show, Clerkenwell Design Week, the Centre Pompidou and belongs to the largest European art and design collection at Centre National Des Arts Plastiques, Paris.

Architect/ Director & Founder
BA (Hons) MArch (Dist) ARB RIBA
Aleksandrina is ARB registered and RIBA chartered architect with experience in the design, management and delivery of high profile commercial and residential projects in the UK. Prior to establishing ALEKSA studio in 2015, Aleks worked at the award-winning Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners across the commercial, residential and cultural sectors. She was primarily involved in the design and on-site coordination of the Leadenhall Building - a landmark tower in the city of London. Aleks demonstrates creative acumen and strong ability to solve problems and exceed client’s goals. She is experienced in working in large multidisciplinary teams and also leading a small architecture and design practice. She is highly skilled in using her technical and managerial knowledge to win work, interface with clients and trades and increase projects capital value through strategic thinking. She is confident in delivering projects and motivating her team and the wider group of consultants to achieve highest standards. Aleks was awarded the Komfort award for best interior space at the RIBA President’s Medals Student Awards in 2008. She completed a Graduate Diploma/ Masters course in Architecture with Distinction at the Bartlett School of Architecture in 2011 where she received the Ambrose Poynter Prize for Distinguished work in the Diploma Thesis. Aleks has also been involved in academia since 2012 and is currently holding the position of Teaching Fellow in BSc Architecture and MEng Engineering and Architectural Design in The UCL Bartlett School of Architecture, London. She sits on the Royal Institute of British Architects Validation panel and Education Development Group panel.
Senior Interior Designer
Carole is an interior designer with 30 years’ experience working mainly in the corporate office sector. Her depth of knowledge and keen understanding of ‘building use’ enables her to offer a fully comprehensive service, from building appraisal through to design and implementation. An expert in delivering ‘serviced office space’, Carole has collaborated with a wide range of companies including HQ Business Centres, Halkin and Avanta Mgt Services Ltd – the latter opening 17 new centres in London over the last 10 years. Other projects include workstation assessments for Citibank, dealing floors for both Banco Santader and Singer and Friedlander, and new offices for Opus Trust in Bermondsey.
Johanna Sim’s twenty years experience as a designer spans a spectrum of expertise from brand identity and visual communications projects through environmental graphics, to award winning museum displays. Her professional career includes working for some of Britain’s best known design consultancies as well as operating as a freelance designer. Johanna has a real appreciation of the strategic and creative process of design ideas and their implementation, articulating coherent interpretive experiences which she communicates through beautiful, atmospheric sketches through to atmospheric modelling. She communicates effectively in an informative and thought-provoking manner, to ensure optimal execution quality. Johanna is a key member of ALEKSA studio contributing with her extensive knowledge of interpretation, exhibition design and education/ learning spaces design.
Part 2 Architectural Assistant
BSc (Hons) MArch
Jacob completed a first class Undergraduate degree at Oxford Brookes School of Architecture in 2015, and is currently pursuing a masters in Architecture at the Royal College of Art. His interests and research lie in the integration of art, architecture and philosophy. He has contributed to our residential work and the restaurant refurbishment project at the Natural History Museum.
Branding & Graphic Designer
Paul is a strategically minded graphic designer with twenty years’ experience creating brand identities, campaigns, digital and print communications across sectors including technology, marine, financial, not-for-profit, and property. Paul’s focus is to align strategic goals with appropriate and compelling creative. Paul graduated from the University of Brighton with a D&AD Student Commendation. Before founding PGA Branding in 2011, Paul worked in number of dynamic creative agencies including Ideology (London), Grafica (Barcelona), Uffindell (London). At ALEKSA studio Paul brings in-house branding and graphic design expertise on our commercial projects.
Wang Fung Chan
Part 2 Architectural Assistant
Fung graduated with distinction from the Bartlett in 2015. He has been an integral member and collaborator to the studio having contributed to projects such as Kiko Milano, various installations and product design pieces, our shortlisted entry for RIBA Open Call 2017 to name a few. He is currently working as a Designer at Heatherwick Studio. He studied and practiced architecture in Hong Kong and Spain before graduating from The Bartlett, UCL. He is interested in exploring the incorporation of computational techniques in architectural design and making. Fung has worked at some of the leading architectural practices including Heatherwick Studio, Foster and Partners and Aedas. He has worked on international projects on a wide range of scale, from installations to infrastructures, and has been mainly involved in unique digital design works with innovative use of materials.
